Life has been a whirlwind since I returned from Baltimore and DC.  The museums were lovely…I just wish I had more time to see everything!  Here are a few pics of works of art from the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art.  More to come soon!

molly & mary will be on hold for about a week while I visit Baltimore for work and D.C. for fun.  I can’t wait to explore new art museums!  There are several on my list:

The Walters Art Museum
Baltimore Museum of Art
American Visionary Art Museum

The Textile Museum
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
The Phillips Collection

I’m planning to take lots of photos of the art and architecture, which I’ll share when I return!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art just might be my favorite place in the world.  I got to spend a little time there while I was in New York last week.  There are so many amazing works of art to see that I took photos so that I could continue looking at them even after I returned home.  Enjoy!

Last week I spent four days in New York with three of my best girlfriends.  It was the trip of a lifetime that included William Kentridge’s The Nose at The Metropolitan Opera, the Whitney Biennial, and several museums.   Here are a few of the sights from the city that never sleeps.

I spent this past weekend with my three sisters for our second annual sisters weekend.  We met in Oklahoma City, and I found a little time to visit the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.  I looked past the abundance of Chihuly glass and found several lovely ladies in their collection, which I thought was fitting for this particular weekend!  Click on each photo to see a larger version.

During my trip to Houston last Saturday, I was able to spend a little time at the Museum of Fine Arts.  Photography is not permitted in most of the galleries, but I was happy that I was able to take pictures in the nineteenth century European galleries. Here are details of a few of my favorites…you’ll notice that many of the subjects relate to flowers and fashion.

I visited Houston last weekend to see the Menil Collection and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.  I especially love the Cy Twombly Gallery, and I visited the Dan Flavin Installation at Richmond Hall for the first time.  The Menil Collection neighborhood is beautiful and a great place for taking photos.
